 I have known Jonathon for a number of years now as a client, friend and someone I wholeheartedly trust when it comes to sorting asset systems and compliance assurance processes…Jonathon has a natural talent for designing processes and system that manage assets and compliance from the policy down to the asset. He uses his operational experience and natural organisational skills to develop systems that manage compliance and assets information (maintenance, lifecycle etc)along the best practice lines (BIM level 2 etc).He’s easy to get on with and a great communicator and passionate about systems and process No matter how good the people managing an estate; if they have to manage within a poorly thought through system and processes they will struggle to get the intended compliance and results  with targeted investment often suffer as a result.
Jonathon also coined my favourite at-work quote which was to provide a central CAFM report approach that aims to provide ‘ONE VERSION OF THE TRUTH’ how many organisations have that. People with skills like Jonathon don’t grow trees, he’s fairly unique and able to work on larger and more complex estates matters and I wish him well with his Charitable Consultancy.

I would like highly commend Jonathan and his team in developing Manchester Metropolitan Universities Digital Strategy. We have found it refreshing that Jonathan and his team are always looking at creative and innovative ways of developing / enhancing systems functional and interoperability between key systems. We have also found the Jonathan’s collaborative style of developing these digital strategies helps not only develop key relationships, but the high level of detail and diligence required to ensure the smooth delivery and therefore ensures best practice. On delivery of our Fire-Stopping Documentation and Artificial Intelligence on 8 Buildings we developed a new approach on delivery of existing buildings. Guided by Jonathan and working with multiple stakeholders, we provided a bespoke delivery process ensuring an efficient and quality service.  Multivista have now modelled this highly effective delivery strategy and aim to roll out this process with other partners in the future.

I've been working with Jonathan for several years. He is one of our most visionary customers without whom no innovation could ever go beyond the R&D lab. Jonathan communicates his digital strategy clearly, enabling vendors like Microshare to further develop our technology and further integrate between vendors to embed industry best practices into operational systems. Jonathan knows when to take calculated risks on new technology and gives constructive feedback when solutions do not deliver and great referrals to new customers when they do. 

For example, Microshare worked with Jonathan to test at scale a people counting solution. This solution combined anonymous battery-based people counting sensors, a long-range LoRaWAN network, and our cloud-based EverSmart Microshare dashboards. Once Jonathan was confident the technology could deliver the data whilst avoiding the costs and risks of having to install powered devices or cameras, not having to use the university Wi-Fi and any asbestos costs, he moved quickly to deploy 500 across the whole campus and recommended us to other universities with the same need.
